How to designate a website default landing page?
Web host providers refer to the "main" page of your website as the "default landing page", this is usually a file named "index.html"

When accessing your web domain, you wouldn't need to type in the entire URL with the file name, by typing in your domain address (http://www.mydomain.com), you will be automatically forwarded to your main page.

When creating a new website, HTML Egg automatically includes a landing page in your new site. If you wish to manually designate a page to the main page, please rename the file name for the main page to "index" note lower case "i". This setting is available under Page Preferences.

Some web host providers may require this file to be named "welcome.html" instead of "index.html", please contact your web host provider if you have any questions.
